After being picked up from the Dalmahoy Hotel at 10:00, your journey begins with a visit to the breathtaking Rosslyn Chapel, a 15th-century masterpiece renowned for its intricate stone carvings and enigmatic symbolism. Delve into the mysteries of this sacred place, from the tales of the Knights Templar to its role in The Da Vinci Code, as your guide brings its rich history to life.

After exploring the chapel, take a short stroll through the picturesque village of Roslin, where you’ll pause for a relaxing lunch. Savor local flavors in a cosy setting while soaking up the charm of this tranquil village nestled in the Midlothian countryside.

In the afternoon, return to the city to visit Holyrood Distillery. Their immersive "Behind the Cask" tasting experience delves into the art of crafting innovative spirits, blending traditional methods with modern creativity. Explore the distillery’s fascinating approach to whisky production, learning about their commitment to flavor exploration. The experience concludes with a curated tasting session, featuring a selection of Holyrood’s unique expressions.

This tour includes a 70cl limited edition commemorative Clan Logan labeled whisky bottle by Holyrood Distillery.

During booking you will be asked to select from one of the following whisky bottles described below. 

​​

1. AMBIR, a sweet and creamy single malt featuring Chocolate Malt, Vienna malt, Crystal 240, and Caramalt. 

2. EMBRA, a smooth balance of smoky flavours and rich textures with a diverse range of yeasts-two distiller strains, three brewers yeasts, and two wine yeasts. An ideal introduction to peat, while still delivering the smoky depth. 

3. PITCH, the newest release, with rich and decadent notes of cacao, blackcurrant, and honey with a finish of hints of coffee, raisins and oak spice. Its rich brown malt takes centre stage, with pepe nero yeast further boosting dark chocolate notes and sweet and nutty oloroso character.

As the day winds down, you are returned to the Dalmahoy Hotel by 17:00. Commemorative bottles will be picked up at the Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club, not at the distillery.
